Shannon is the past the Associate Director of Business Development for the National Technical Information Service. She shares her more than 34 years of field and senior management experience in the field of marketing, sales, communication, business development and customer service with the United States Air Force, United States Postal Service, Department of the Interior and Department of Commerce. Shannon developed the business case, piloted and deployed the Postal Business Centers in the Northeast Area and led the launch of Signature Confirmation for the USPS. Additionally, she developed the Client Support Branch for GovWorks under the Department of the Interior. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from The American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from the State University of New York. In addition to her degrees, Shannon completed the extensive Center for Creative Leadership’s Advanced Leadership Program for executives within the USPS succession planning and earned the Miller Heiman certification for Strategic Selling. She is currently completing her studies with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) to earn her International Coach Federation (ICF) certification for professional coaching and energy leadership. She holds both the Competent and Advanced Toastmaster certifications from Toastmasters International as the charter President of the Clifton Park Speakers in New York. |
